Sinha Library offers membership to students, researchers, and general readers, allowing access to its vast collection of books, digital resources, and study spaces. Below are the guidelines for becoming a member and maintaining membership privileges.

1. Eligibility & Registration:
  • Membership is open to students, professionals, researchers, and general readers.
  • Applicants must provide valid ID proof, address proof, and passport-size photographs.
  • A membership form must be filled out and submitted at the library along with the required documents.
2. Membership Categories & Fees:
  • Different membership categories are available, including student, researcher, and general reader memberships.
  • Membership fees vary depending on the category and must be paid at the time of registration.
  • Some memberships may require annual renewal.
3. Membership Card Usage:
  • Members must carry their membership card to access library services.
  • The card is non-transferable and should not be shared with others.
  • In case of a lost or damaged card, members must report it immediately and request a replacement.
4. Borrowing & Access Privileges:
  • Members can borrow books as per the borrowing limit assigned to their membership type.
  • Access to digital resources and research materials is granted based on membership privileges.
  • Study spaces, including reading rooms and group study areas, are available to all registered members.
5. Code of Conduct & Responsibilities:
  • Members must follow library rules, maintain silence, and respect library property.
  • Late returns of books may result in fines or suspension of borrowing privileges.
  • Any misuse of resources or violation of rules may lead to cancellation of membership.
